The Foundation leadership serves people living in Jefferson County, Oregon, and the Warm Springs Indian Reservation to improve the quality of life. Founded with a entrepreneurial spirit, the Foundation manages its own investments and seeks to strategically increase the impact of community and project donations.

Collective Stewardship:
Madras Aquatic Center
The need for a community pool where learn to swim, enjoy aquatic exercise, and cool off in the summer had been a topic of discussion since the 1950s. Over the years, various groups had managed to get a pool bond issue placed on the ballot, but all the initiatives failed. After a spike in downings between 1996 to 2002, the conversation was restarted, and The Bean Foundation decided help meet this important community need. Learn more.
